Tutorials for this week

So, this week I’m looking at writing a new tutorial or two. I’m going to actually take a break from desktop development and move to web development. I’m going to do a HTML5 tutorial. I’m going to use one of the libraries out there for the tutorial. I haven’t decided 100% which one as there are a few that I like. This won’t end up being a series like my XNA/MonoGame tutorials. This will be a standalone tutorial that covers a single topic.

I’m also going to move away from the tutorial series in desktop development as well I think, for a bit at least. I’ve opened comments up on the site so you don’t have to be registered to enter a comment. Please leave a comment if there is a specific topic that you would like covered in the tutorial series and I will try and fit that in at some point.

  1. Hi,

I never gathered up enough courage to leave a comment, but I figured this would be a great moment to really show how me (and probably a lot of others like me) feels about how much you contribute to the world.

I am pretty new to this whole gamedev scene. I studied just the basic grammar for C# and began chasing my dream. Upon researching I found a recommendation post on reddit, leading myself to here. I browsed through a few of your work and decided this was the one for me.

So, yeah, I have been silently working on your XNA tutorials with Monogame, secretly hoping to move on to Summoner’s Tale afterwards. There aren’t a lot of Monogame tutorials, even in the global scale, but still I feel only fair to mention yours to be one of the best.

I also have been reading on your status from time to time (though I only began working just recently), and noticed that you are going through a lot. It must take massive amount of dedication for “a” tutorial of this depth and scale, let alone a several. So yeah. I must mention my sincerest respects, to you and paths you are taking.

I really appreciate your work. Thank you so much for all the gifts you are sharing.
