Silver Prophet Update – September 8, 2016

I’ve decided to take a bit of a break from the tutorials and work on my own game this week for a change of pace. I’ve been focusing on the combat system at this time. It is going fairly well. I’ve created a state for the battle to take place in, a tactical map that is rendering and the opposing sides of the battle. I have the player rendering on the battle field and enemies rendering on the battle field. Below is a screenshot of my current battle state. Next up I will be working on combat between the two sides. At the moment I’m trying to decide if I want to go full turn based tactical battle or something more along the lines of Final Fantasy games where the characters build up action points and the character uses the actions points to trigger special skills.
